The baby girl of one of the greatest singers the world will ever see Bobbi Kristina according to reports was found face down in a bathtub in her home by her husband and was revived and rushed to the hospital in Atlanta where she remains in a medically induced coma, with what is described as diminished brain activity. This is truly sad, about three years ago on February 11th 2012 her mother Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room bathtub, she is the only child of the late singer. I really hope she is OK this is just not the way to deal with things, but I cant pass judgement on her or her situation only thing I ask is for God will to be done. The way the doctors are allegedly reporting on her status doesn't sound good at all even if she survives what kind of life will she have if she has brain damage, all around this is just sad, my prayers go out to her and her family.

One
of the most influential people in the music industry is the DJ, they control
the way music or records go viral. In Atlanta there is an awards show especially
dedicated to honor the DJ called “Salute The DJ Awards”, where the DJs can be
recognized and appreciated for all the work they do throughout the year. This event
is held at the Atrium event center in Atlanta Georgia a lot of up and coming
artist perform in front of the people who hold the key to their success the DJ’s.
Last year’s show Young Thug and Kcamp performed just to name a few and since
then their careers have sky rocketed. So you can imagine why the up and coming
artist clamor for a spot on the stage. This year’s show was a production hosted
by Shanod Johnson from HNIC entertainment, Crum from 94.5 with special guest
hosting from Lil Bankhead of 94.5 and DJ Holiday with this line up the bar was
set. As the night progressed special guest of DJ Holiday came and blessed the
stage the crowd was filled with excitement as T.I. and Hustle Gang emerged from
the back.

2014 it was the end
of flexing on many levels, we all grew tired of the flex and the fact that one
of the hottest songs on that year titled “No Flex Zone” topped the charts definitely
solidified it. But then of course maybe it had to do with the fact that the
song was a banger with a track produced by Mike Will Made It one of the dopest
producers in the industry and the fact that the rap duo Rae Sremmurd ( Swae Lee
and Slim Jimmy) killed it or the remix with Nicki Minaj. All of the above in my
opinion made this song a hit, but not a one hit wonder type of thing for the
duo, they released another banger “ I Aint Got No Type” which is a club anthem these
days, another track produced by Mike Will Made It. Wait they have an album “Sremmlife”
that was just released and executive produced by the super producer as well,
sounds like a recipe for success. I got a chance to catch up with Rae Sremmurd
at DBS Sounds in Atlanta the day their album was released for an in store
signing. The Duo was running a little late but that did not sway their fans who
stayed patiently waiting to meet their favorite rappers, as time went by Rae Sremmurd emerged from the back and
entered the room. They immediately began to sign autographs and take pictures
with their waiting fans, to give a visual the duo didn’t even sit down, their
album was playing on the speakers and they moved along with the beats all while
conversing with fans. After the frenzy died down Rae Sremmurd and their entourage
( which included Mike will Made It)came into the back room of the store where
the media waited for interviews, during one of the interviews Swae Lee took off
his timberland boots wrote on them customizing his shoes this showed the laid
back side to them. I have to say that they were really down to earth no ego involved
just genuinely cool people.
QN: What can
people expect from this album?
Swae Lee: Fun,
they can play it and just turn up
Slim Jimmy: They
can listen to it and have a good time.
QN: Coming from
Mississippi which is a tough market to come from what advice would you give
other rappers trying to make it from that area?
Swae Lee:Be different if you hear someone rapping a
certain way don’t do the same thing switch it up and have a different sound, so
you stand out.
Slim Jimmy:Move get out of there, move to another city
QN:Where should they move to?
Slim Jimmy:Atlanta, this the best place.
If I was to give a description of the Rae Sremmurd I would definably
say they have the energy of a kooler version of Kris kross. Any way make sure
you get the album “Sremmlife “ for their
first album it is definitely a great one, feel good, have a good time vibe.
So for weeks and even months Fox has been doing promo on their new series called "Empire" who has an all star cast Taradji P Henson and Terrence Howard. Yes the "Hustle and Flow" duo are back at it and almost in the same capacity. The new series is about a record label/ company that was started by this couple Taraji and Terrence and happened to be started with drug money apparently Taraji's Character "Cookie" was sent to prison for 17 years after some sought of drug bust murder scenario goes bad. At the time of her arrest she had three sons, fast forward to the era in which the series is set and now her return from prison to an "Empire" built by her ex husband with their sons talents, which she believes she deserves half of. I would say that from watching the first episode that the concept is dope and the story lines are compelling enough to keep you wanting to see more. One of the hottest things about the show is that all the music is produced by Timberland and are all original. Although the show idea is a bit cliche it is still a show to add to your watch list every week.

So this Saturday Lifetime aired the Aaliah Biopic, the actress Alexandra Shipp played the singer in the movie. The movie was produced by Wendy Williams production company and had some controversy earlier on with the family of the deceased singer not releasing any information along with being against the release of the film. Well Wendy should have listened to the family and stopped production, because the film was trash and disgrace to the legacy of Aaliyah. For one this is not just some singer that died, Aaliyah was like a sister to us all her life and death affected so many people that to do her movie required a certain type of delicate planning and casting. To me it appeared that they did not take the time to cast the movie correctly and the story line was so blah that it made me cringe every moment. Aaliyah story is so heart felt and I lacked to find a moment in the movie where it touched me because of the bad acting and the awful casting. I honestly feel this movie should be ripped from rebroadcast and put in a vault never to be aired again because it does no justice to our princess of R&B. Apparently a lot of people felt the same way, the internet has been buzzing with a criticism since the biopic aired.
These are a few of the cast members along with the actual people, what were they thinking, then the acting was horrible. This movie was just plain disrespectful. The documentary that came after the movie aired was way better than the movie. Leave a comment let me know what you all think about the Lifetime Biopic of Aaliyah.
Congratulations are in order, Solange and her long time beu Alan Ferguson got married over the weekend in New Orleans. All white themed wedding is all the buzz on the internet wiping out the "breaking the Internet" porn that was short lived. The newlyweds chose a less traditional was to arrive to their wedding by opting for a bicycle as transport, I think that that was cute, they way to get married is to do what ever the hell you want and Solange did tat.
In attendance was Beyonce and Jay Z of course the couple looked fabulous in their all white.
Aslo at the wedding was Singer Janelle Monae, I have to say the wedding party looked truly happy fpr the couple and it wasn't to Hollywood, loving it.
Nick Cannon and his Mother attended the Nickelodeon Halo awards this week end, Nicks mother looks great.
