Last year was filled with a lot of great progress for America as well as great devastation. The three events I choose to highlight are the Hurricane Sandy devastation that crippled a powerful state and left thousands, if not millions, without electricity, some lost their homes and lives, so I would definitely like to recognize the eastern sea board of this country and the hardships that they went through and still face. Next is a tragic event that touched all of our cores, the killing of those innocent children in Newtown Connecticut, this is by far one of the worst most senseless massacres of all time, leaving over 20 children dead and heart-broken parents and love ones in the wake, so I would like to take a moment to send my prayers to the families of the victims. To close this segment on a positive note I would like to highlight the whole United States of America, especially those that contributed to the re-election of President Obama. I feel that it is only right to allow a person time to do what they set out to do, re-electing Pres, Obama was the best choice.

There was no doubt alot to say about the entertainment world this year but I have decided to pay tribute to a legend, not because she was one but because often after someone passes we forget about the life that was lost and the impact that they had on our lives, this goes for family or friends not just famous people. However, I chose to highlight Whitney Houston because she has impacted all of us at some point. I remember listening to her voice and getting goose bumps because of how powerful it was. Last year early in the year we lost the life of Whitney Houston at age 48.

Most Anticipated album of 2012 was TI "Trouble Man" I have yet to hear the whole album, but I have been hearing great reviews, which I'm not surprised TI is a rap genius period.

Meek Mills a battle rapper from Philly, battled his way to the top of the charts and playlist for many of us last year. This dude really go hard with the bars and kills every track. His album "Dreams and Nightmares" in stores now.
