Sen. Jack Kingston of Georgia is proposing a drug screening for those who collect unemployment. I'm not sure if i agree with this proposed bill, for the simple reason that it appears that the poor which is now the unemployed are being targeted. Why drug test them, even though they are getting Government assistance they should be able to do what ever the hell they want with their benefits, lets not forget that in order to be eligible for unemployment you have to hads worked some where for a reasonable amount of time. Hence the very people who are collecting these benefits have in some way paid into them so why put these eliminating stipulations on them now. Totally unfair we don't ask members of Congress to take drug test,plus most of these people are depressed and don't have health insurance to get antidepressant so if the self medicate as long as its not a threat to society it should not be a problem. Please let me know what you all think about this subject.
